2015 Volleyball Season

Hi Team,  A new volleyball season will get underway on August 24th.  Welcome new players and welcome back returning players.  Good luck to the players moving on to JV.  Check out the skill clips and you will get an idea of some of the things we will be working on.  Don't forget your conditioning.  You have to be in good shape to be a great volleyball player.  We will work on conditioning every day in practice.  If you can't do it already, try to work up to being able to run for at least 5 minutes without stopping.  Also, you could work on pushups, planks and squats.  Check out the blog over the summer as there may be some new stuff.  Have a great summer and see you in August.

End of season celebration

The end of season celebration will be Tuesday.  Please bring a little something to share with the team.  If you have any questions, see me Monday or drop me an email.

Celebration Plans

The end of season celebration will be either Tuesday the 28th or Wednesday the 29th.  It depends on how the girls soccer team does tonight (it's complicated).  We will play volleyball games from 3:00-4:00 and then have pizza and other goodies in the cafeteria from about 4:15 until 5:00.  I will provide the pizza, players can provide the other goodies.  Parents are invited to attend.

This week in volleyball

Today we practice from 3:00-4:00.  JV and Varsity have a home match against NCCS.  Tomorrow is our last match and we travel all the way to NCCS.

Good job against Peru

The team played well against a strong Peru team on Wednesday.  The team came away with 2 wins overall.  After we got over the first game jitters both teams played well.  Two more matches and we are done.  I can't believe we are getting down to the end of the season already.  Time to start thinking about an end of the season celebration.

This week in volleyball 10/4-10/17

We practice Tuesday.  Wednesday we have a home match vs. Peru Central.  The match will run from 4:30 to about 5:30.  Thursday we have a short practice before the home JV and Varsity matches vs. Saranac Central.  Friday we have a home play day from 4:30-6:30 vs. NAC and Plattsburgh.

Results: Friday at Saranac Central

We had a good tournament Friday at Saranac Central.  The Blue Team was undefeated with 4 wins.  They ran 4-2 offense.  The Gold Team had 1 win and some very close games.  The teams did well.
